Safe When Small

April 3 - Apr 12, 2008

"I simply start. Then I set up a sculptural scenario to investigate the following (in no particular order but an order of sorts): displacement activities, intuition, diversions, il(logic), pattern and colour, mistakes and complexity. Using proximity as my guide, I follow the path of least resistance in the hope of discovering a patience that I can understand."-Jay Wilson, 2008

Jay Wilson is a Toronto-based artist/designer who is a full-time professor in the Art and Art History Program, a joint program between Sheridan College and U of T. The artist wishes to thank for the guidance and assistance: Rosalyn Faustino, Howard Fraiberg, Matt Hoffman, Mark Jones, Andrew Kimber, Lisa Neighbour and Evan Penny.
